Saturday, August 27, 2005. 47 down, 1 to go. So as I head into my last two weeks of treatment I am still apprehensive about finishing treatment but am trying to maintain some perspective. Friday, June 23, 2006. Just a quick blog from our holidays here in hottest Kefalonia - I rang up today to get my 9 month pcr results which are, as you've guessed from the title, negative! I was sitting in a beach-side restaurant, in the hot hot sun and a light breeze to hear that much-hoped-for word that makes every moment of treatment worthwhile. After so long living with the virus, around 23 years, I can now say that I am free of it. And that sets me free in all sorts of ways. Posted by lu @ 6:06 PM.

Thursday, June 23, 2005. Have been enjoying this wonderful weather but it has been too hot to be out in during the day. It is exhausting and dizzy making! The dog also flakes out when it's so hot, and needs to go for a swim to cool off. She is a water dog so loves it. Today tho we saw a moorhen with her chicks in the pond, so I had to keep the dog out so she wouldn't frighten them off. They were very sweet, trundling round after their mum. I was finally able to have the 'if it hasn't worked' discussion with the nurse, which I haven't had with any of the staff there yet, having been told 'we'll cross that bridge if we come to it' (how scarey is that?
