Luthiers Workshop

Tuesday, September 26, 2006. Here's another mystery to alot of guitar players: adjusting the bridge for proper intonation on an electric guitar. Luthiers Workshop: Truss rods demystified

http://www.luthiersworkshop.blogspot.com/2006/09/truss-rods-demystified.html

Thursday, September 21, 2006. When I used to repair guitars for a living, I noticed that soooooo many people feared the mysterious device known as the truss rod. "Don't turn it more than a quarter turn per day, or you'll break the neck! The right place and on a level plane, we need to make sure a hand can traverse it comfortably, and we need to make sure it can stay straight when string tension is added. That's it, really. That last part is where the truss rod comes in. Posted by stenger 12:27 PM.

All prices in USD. Privacy policy. Tools are the extension of your imagination. Chris and I began discussions for the design of the first generation of the Neck Angle Jig a decade ago. I have used it to cut my neck/body joints since. This new version is amazing! Even better than the original. Being able to dial in my neck geometry to a thousandth of an inch repeatedly and predictably, is why it is one of the most important tools in my workshop. Thanks Chris!
