bedesisters: December 2013
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. New Years Eve in the country. New Year's Eve in the country is a bit different from New Year's Eve in town. It's quieter, although there will probably be some fireworks in the distance. It's also less crowded and, well, darker. So, we're going to have a fire in our fire pit next to the river. We don't plan to stay up until midnight. I've tested this theory before- the new year will get here just fine without my supervision. Monday, December 30, 2013. It also won't let me open ...

bedesisters: April 2015
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 9, 2015. Spring is in full bloom in South Carolina. The daffodils are pretty much done and the yellow jessamine is starting to fade already. My creeping phlox is at it's peak and even the oak and pecan trees are starting to leaf out. Another reason to be excited this spring is my upcoming trip to Minnesota. I will be attending the Shepherd's Harvest Festival. In Lake Elmo, MN. Why would a South Carolina girl travel all the way to Minnesota for a fiber festival? In the Entish Lore colorway.

http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 30, 2013. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is our traditional day to decorate the house for Christmas. The fall stuff gets packed away for the year and the spring decor gets shifted from the fall boxes to the Christmas boxes. That way, when January gets here, I'm all set to pack up Christmas and decorate for spring. It's all a big switcharoo! Thursday, November 28, 2013. Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Monday, November 25, 2013. Horses and Little Girls. Whether she goes on to be a great h...

bedesisters: Socks and a Sweater
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2015/02/socks-and-sweater.html
Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Socks and a Sweater. My family celebrates two birthdays this month, my older daughter and my husband. My daughter just turned 23 and she requested dinner out at Miyo's. She loves their Asian cuisine, especially the sushi. We had a very nice dinner with two of her friends and her aunt and uncle. Next week, my husband has a birthday. Last year, for his 50th, we did a Star Trek themed party. This year will be much more low-key, probably a family dinner. Needles- US 8, 5mm.

bedesisters: Wisdom teeth? Who needs 'em!
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2015/02/wisdom-teeth-who-needs-em.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. I was a good student, as in graduated fourth in my class of over three hundred, so a problem with my grades was, in a word, unacceptable. I gulped and said something like "Really? All that to say, knitting hasn't been too high on the list this week. I am almost done with the Lawrence sweater and it will hopefully be a finished object by next week. I also am working on a pair of Rosamond socks. For a KAL (Knit-A-Long). Details to follow next week! South Carolina, United States.

Thursday, March 5, 2015. Lawrence sweater is done! I'm going to jump right in with knitting talk, because I'm really excited about finishing my Lawrence sweater. Yay me, and just in time for the end of Knitting Den's KAL (knit-a-long). The KAL ended on February 28 and my sweater was blocking that day. Ankle socks for me. The Rosamond...

bedesisters: April 2013
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 8, 2013. After a really warm winter, I expected an early spring. Silly me. It seems to have taken forever for the temperatures to warm up to the deep south's April standards. We had several days last week when the temperature stayed in the forties all day, unusual for early April around here. But, the past couple of days have been glorious! The children are taking a break from jumping, and one is keeping me company on the porch. Apparently, moon sand hasn't lost its appeal. Squirrely Whirls...

bedesisters: March 2013
http://bedesisters.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 14, 2013. Okay, they're just tube socks, but I made them from yarn I spun myself. I started them weeks ago, maybe even a couple of months ago and then set them aside. Once I really got going, they were fast. I finished the first one this morning and the second one after supper tonight. Double pointed needles, you don't scare me anymore! Am I the only one who sees Bill Murray's face (from What About Bob? When I hear the phrase "baby steps"? Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Knitting on the Porch.
