Saturday, May 30, 2009. Brett's Rube Goldberg Experiment. Brett worked all afternoon on Memorial Day and Tuesday and Wednesday evening concocting this massive experiment. He had to have at least 5 steps to crack and egg or break a balloon and he opted to go with 10, for some reason. At least he finally used the marble track and dominos we never use! Friday, July 23, 2010. Brett had a great experience this past Monday through Wednesday when he went on a Pioneer Trek at Martin's Cove in Wyoming. They loaded up into buses early Monday morning (we dropped him at the Church at 4:30 am, yikes! After the long bus trip (I think it was about 7 hours) and checking in at the Visitor Center, they loaded their belongings into handcarts and walked 3 miles to their camp area. Sunday, June 6, 2010. We found out that he is buried at the Salt Lake City Cemetary so we went there yesterday and found his grave. So, needless to say, not only does Brett now have an ancestor of our own to walk for, but one that has a very rich and inspiring history of his own! Saturday, June 6, 2009. Bring on the THUNDERBIRDS! Today we made the crazy trek to Hill Air Force Base for the Air Show. At least the weather was pretty mild and the rain clouds stayed away. I am trying to figure out how I got sunburned with multiple applications of sunscreen ranging from 50 SPF to 85 SPF! I'm just destined to turn pink in the sunlight, I guess! Brett really did have fun, I promise. He just has a cold and wasn't feeling too great. We just got so many great photos we wanted to share!

Friday, June 18, 2010. Braceless and Loving It! After 6 1/2 looooong years (and we won't SAY how much dinero! Our handsome boy is now braces free. I got a really good laugh as we were leaving the orthodontist office - I told him we could run to the store and asked what he wanted to eat. Almost before I could even finish my sentence, he said, "Can I have some GUM? Poor kid hasn't had gum since he was 9! We're pleased with the results after all the drama of keeping them clean,. This fight ABOUT did me in!

He is such a fun kid to have in our home and he sure keeps us hopping! Trevin loves to help with whatever we are doing, though he doesn't love working alone, he is a social little guy! For his birthday we got him Zero Gravity cars, they are remote control little cars that drive on the walls, they actually work pretty well. One week later Tyler turned 10!

Daughter in law Melissa turned 38. Whitney our granddaughter turned 19 and our son in law Ivan turned 38.We have had parties for all but Cecily and Melissa who live out of town.
