Days 58-62: Periyar and Fort Cochin | Daily Chai
https://lwilli.wordpress.com/2009/11/30/days-58-62-periyar-and-fort-cochin
A chronicle of my adventures in India. Laquo; Days 51-62: Hampi, the Kerala backwaters, and Varkala. Days 58-62: Periyar and Fort Cochin. We were relieved when we made it to Periyar. We checked in to a really cute jungle-themed guesthouse with a campfire pit and a little treehouse in the back. The funky elephant bed in our room. Wearing our leech socks, ready to enter the jungle. We crossed the lake on this bamboo raft. Our guide said this was a tigers hairball. Fields of tea plants. That night while we ...

A chronicle of my adventures in India. Laquo; Days 22-35: Punjab, Diwali, and the Dalai Lama. Days 51-62: Hampi, the Kerala backwaters, and Varkala. Days 37-50: Mumbai and Goa. The next morning, clad in our Indian suits, we flew to Mumbai to meet up with my parents. It was great to see them, and they loved our outfits. My mom took this photo of us arriving at Mumbai airport. Rebecca’s boyfriend, Cameron, flew into Mumbai from Kazakhstan late that night (he’d cycled from Beijing to Al Mahdi! That afternoo...

A chronicle of my adventures in India. Laquo; Days 37-50: Mumbai and Goa. Days 58-62: Periyar and Fort Cochin. Days 51-62: Hampi, the Kerala backwaters, and Varkala. Way we could get there involved a 16-hour overnight bus followed by a 12-hour train. Grudgingly, we booked tickets for the bus leaving the following evening. Temple near hampi bazaar. Cochin (Ernakulum) (Day 54). First train ride in India. Rebecca on the train. Garden in hotel lobby. Alleppey and the backwaters of Kerala (Days 54-56). Once w...

A chronicle of my adventures in India. Archive for October, 2009. Days 22-35: Punjab, Diwali, and the Dalai Lama. October 24, 2009. The next day I woke up to one of the foulest stenches I’ve ever smelled. It seems that overnight the pungent odor of sewage had seeped through the pipes and collected in the bathroom, and as soon as Rebecca opened the bathroom door to take a shower, the stink escaped and filled our entire room in a single draft. The rock garden in Chandigarh. Amritsar and Attari (Days 24-25).

willey's irreverent findings | inspire, create, share, explore, love, live, death
Willey's irreverent findings. Inspire, create, share, explore, love, live, death. November 2, 2009. In theory is anything and everything artistically expressed that has the right intent. Meaning, if it was created with intentions of being a creative product or piece of art which uses the internet as its platform then in my opinion it falls into the category of net art. No one has to be an artist to be a net artist. People all over are figuring out how to make creative endeavors. And what is trash. That t...

The History Guys -
The First American President. Its important to note when analyzing George Washington trivia which not only is his function as the initial president exceptionally significant, but equally important was his role as the commander of the Continental army. It was as the leader of the military that the successful American revolution was led, and although his time as President was important, it was his time as the leader of the military which allowed for there to be a Presidency.
