Four of my mango trees got really bad damage from the cold and they had to be severely pruned. Valencia Pride' got chopped to about 11 inches. It's regenerating though. Carrie' was chopped down to about 3 inches of the graft line. It's growing back. Tropical Fruit @ GardenWeb. Curator's Choice - Mangoes. The Edible Plant Store. Canada - Flora Exotica.

MANGO69: Julie and Pickering
http://mango69.blogspot.com/2013/12/julie-and-pickering.html
My potted mango tree growing experiments in the California Bay Area. Saturday, December 14, 2013. I ate my first 'Julie' in probably 40 years. I was happy that it was delicious. Because the tree was small the fruit was tiny. It was only ripe on one side but man it was good! I wish I had a full sized tree. Tropical Fruit @ GardenWeb. Curator's Choice - Mangoes. The Edible Plant Store. Canada - Flora Exotica. There was an error in this gadget.

MANGO69: September 2013
http://mango69.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
My potted mango tree growing experiments in the California Bay Area. Thursday, September 26, 2013. Mango trees continue to grow. May have been over-fertilized, as its new leaves are curly and wonky. New leaves are slowly hardening off. Is a nice upright tree. Needed to be shaped. Its branches are growing all over the place. Is vigorous but the new branches are weak and need to supported because of drooping. Pushing new leaves and trying to flower. I'm hoping my little mangoes will be ripe by October?

A few of my trees, I didn't move in and left by my south facing wall. They got frost damage and were brought in. Weird how cold it has gotten. The last pickering came off the tree with a little twist. So now it sits on the kitchen counter until ripen up some more. Here is the gang. Tropical Fruit @ GardenWeb. Curator's Choice - Mangoes.

My potted mango tree growing experiments in the California Bay Area. Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Saturday, November 16, 2013. Okay, with all the fruit off Glenn, I repotted it today into a new Geopot. The branches are twisted from the weight of the fruit but I hope it adds character. Here is one of the Glenn mangoes. It has a lovely color. It was perfectly ripe! This Glenn was way better than the first one I ate. It was sweet, fiberless and the skin was thin and edible! Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
