As to prairie, it has come to me stronger and more vividly each passing year that I want this piece of ground (40 acres) to serve a greater end than just produce another 10 semi-loads of corn every year. We frankly aren’t short of corn by anyone’s imagination. But fox and badger and beardtongue and godwit are disappearing before some folks even learn which are flowers and which are birds!
