Lymphoblaster: 2 Years?
http://lymphoblaster.blogspot.com/2010/09/dear-dad-two-years-now-youve-been-gone.html
The musings of a gal dancing with the demons of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Sunday, September 19, 2010. Two years now, you've been gone. It's funny, you always said that anniversaries of events don't matter, but man I know you were mad when I didn't call on your birthday, or father's day. So that was just bullshit. I wonder how you feel about the anniversary of your death? Does it mean anything to you? I won't know if you're pissed or not because you aren't around to tell me. View my complete profile.

The musings of a gal dancing with the demons of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Sunday, August 30, 2009. Friday, August 28, 2009. No more feeding tube. For now. I hope never again. And nothing permanent installed either. But if it becomes necessary, I'll happily put it back in. My pride is not that great. It's simply wonderful to have a break from the ongoing noise of the pump and the constant toilet trips. Now I am sleepy. I'm catching up on REM sleep. Oh! How did this occur? How did I fall? Moving like a...

The musings of a gal dancing with the demons of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Last week my platelet counts had not recovered enough to begin cycle 8, so I was sent home without my chemotherapy. Its nice to have had a break, I think. Today I go back in for a blood draw and we'll see what the future holds. I should probably have the boys in Angio (sp? Take out the stitches in my portocath, too. I'm healing 2nd degree burns now. Seriously, I ask, when will I learn patience!

The L Word | Aidan
https://aidforaidan.wordpress.com/our-story
An extraordinary boy's journey. Aidan’s Father’s account:. It was Monday, September 13. And I was enjoying an uneventful day at work when my wife, Katie, called crying. She said, “We just had a blood test and they think Aidan has Leukemia! 8221; I told Katie I would come straight home and we would figure it all out together. I turned to my boss who knew we were expecting a baby soon. She saw the look on my face and with a hesitant voice said, “Is the baby coming? 10/02/2010 at 12:43 am. 8230; because I a...

lymphoblah | a blog about that time I got cancer
A blog about that time I got cancer. May 3, 2012. Au revoir, cancer. On Friday, April 20, just before noon, while riding in the passenger seat of my mother’s car, I learned that I no longer have cancer. No evidence of disease. Luckily, we were stopped at a red light just long enough to allow mother and I to throw our arms around each other, laughing. I shouted to a small group of people standing on the sidewalk, I don’t have cancer anymore! I mean, I couldn’t help but share the news! Means marching the f...

The musings of a gal dancing with the demons of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Thursday, January 2, 2014. In 5 Years Time. If you have seen the movie, The Truman Show. And can recall its ending ,. You might be able to savor my state of mind mid 2011. After my last dose of methotrexate and bilateral hip replacements I bumped into the seeming end of my cancer experience and discovered a door leading to what? I didn’t know and barely dared to imagine. Where does her story go when cancer doesn't end in death?

A blog about Cancer in general, and Follicular Lymphoma in particular. Wednesday, April 4, 2018. I've always tried to be an advocate for clinical trials. They are important - we can't get any new treatments unless there are patients who are willing to try them out first to see if they work (that is, they do a better and safer job than the treatments we have now). Now, there are lots of reasons why patients don't get involved with trials. Sometimes, that's personal choice, as it was with mine. It's a comp...
