Steve and Joans Story - A Tale of Lymphoma. Im sitting at the kitchen table when Steve walks in from the hall. He looks at me, raises his left arm and says You know, I have this lump under my arm and Ive had it for a while. His tone is off-hand, as if he simply wants to update me on some minor point.such a little thing, this lump. Not really worth mentioning. October 19, 2004. Steve is seeing the doctor today. When he gets home from work, he tells me what was said - That has to come out! October 26, 2004.

Friday, January 7. Tuesday, January 18. After a few wrong turns, I pull into the hotel parking lot and find the room for the session.
