Steve and Joans Story - A Tale of Lymphoma. Im sitting at the kitchen table when Steve walks in from the hall. He looks at me, raises his left arm and says You know, I have this lump under my arm and Ive had it for a while. His tone is off-hand, as if he simply wants to update me on some minor point.such a little thing, this lump. Not really worth mentioning. October 19, 2004. Steve is seeing the doctor today. When he gets home from work, he tells me what was said - That has to come out! October 26, 2004.

In January, Joan decided to run her first marathon in his name to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Joan worked with the Team in Training. Organization to raise money which funds research to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.
