From Beer to Paternity: September 2016
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Saturday, September 24, 2016. Bloody addictive mobile phone games! No sooner have I weaned myself off Scrabble and Countdown, then I download Wordbrain. and, by Jimminy Cricket, it is bloody addictive. It's essentially a wordfinder where the letters forming the identified linked words drop away from a grid once you have found the word. The depleted grid then offers new possibilities. Clear one 4x4 or 5x5 grid, then start another. You're a s...

From Beer to Paternity: April 2016
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Thursday, April 28, 2016. How Not to Be Old. As I've mentioned before, I'm planning on making a return to playing proper competitive pool next year and I'm keeping my hand in by playing interleague pool for my local league. This essentially means the best players from a local league form a team and play against a representative team of the best players for other local leagues. That took bloody long enough! How can I help you, madam? Rude, c...

From Beer to Paternity: May 2016
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Sunday, May 29, 2016. The 2016 British Soap Awards: Part II. Two of the biggest winners of the evening were Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Fower in EastEnders, and Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale. Danny Miller is a real fan favourite and his character's harrowing story about childhood abuse saw Miller pick up the Best Dramatic Performance Male and Best Actor gongs. Their awards were probably deserved and the fact that the ...

From Beer to Paternity: December 2016
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Thursday, December 22, 2016. Stubborn But Not Stupid. With work continuing to be an utter nightmare, I am struggling to make hapkido classes with any form of regularity. And with me moving to work on the other side of London next year, it's unlikely the situation will get any easier. This is a pisser. I have a 14-year relationship with the school and its teacher and seeing that. Slip away is quite sad. I do very rarely – or maybe even.

From Beer to Paternity: Competition Time No.2
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016/12/competition-time-no2.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Sunday, December 11, 2016. Competition Time No.2. I lost my fight today and I have no complaints. I lost to the better fighter. My initial gameplan of getting an early grip and pulling guard worked. But I couldn't secure the position and he escaped, then he threw me when I got up to my feet. From there, I failed to escape his top position and he eventually mounted me and choked me. So, takehomes from defeat:. Stubborn But Not Stupid.

From Beer to Paternity: October 2016
http://frombeertopaternity.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html
From Beer to Paternity. It's life, Jim, but not as we know it.'. Monday, October 24, 2016. I attended a grading at my BJJ school this weekend and I got my blue belt. To say I was chuffed is an understatement. I never take any belt promotion for granted, but I felt as though I'd had a solid year where some techniques and strategies were starting to bed in. More importantly, my instructors thought so and I am now promoted. And I can now use wristlocks! Tuesday, October 18, 2016. On the plus side, I have th...
