In the 2004/2005 Year Lyndoch responded to 117 callouts. The Lyndoch Emergency and Fire Service (EFS) was formed when a concerned group of local farmers and town residents decided to initiate and form a fire fighting organisation in March 1975. The Emergency and Fire Service (EFS) was renamed the Country Fire Service (CFS) in 1977. The Brigades first Captain was Winston Daly, from March 1975 to August 1991.
