fire in ice: July 2012
http://fire-in-ice.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A blog on historic pursuits, beadmaking, blacksmithing, and crafts in general. Monday, July 30, 2012. Sometimes I don't torch for a while, even as long as a couple days. I've been working on a couple custom orders and I like them because at least I know what I'll be making. I wound up making it into a necklace for the same customer who gave me the idea in the first place. The shape is very organic and I love it! Links to this post. Sunday, July 29, 2012. For some reason I decided that participating wasn'...

A blog on historic pursuits, beadmaking, blacksmithing, and crafts in general. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. I've been very bad. It's been a rough few weeks, so I'm going back to some comfortable music. This one stands out, both because it's a cool song and a cool video. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Thank you for your comment! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A blog on historic pursuits, beadmaking, blacksmithing, and crafts in general. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Shannon is a 23 year-old mother of 3 little boys. She recently suffered catastrophic injuries in Galveston while shielding her baby from a collapsing facade. She will require 24 hour care for the rest of her life and her poor children will never have the life they should have with their mother. Please check these out. It doesn't cost anything to pray. fire in ice: March 2012
http://fire-in-ice.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
A blog on historic pursuits, beadmaking, blacksmithing, and crafts in general. Sunday, March 25, 2012. I've been in a strange mood as spring has come in with a bang, making all sorts of beads that can only be described as cute. The above frog is a prime example. I've always liked frogs, but just decided I had to make one. Ladybugs are another big kick. I can't stop making them, or watermelon slices.I actually adore the expression of the ladybug above. It's kind of an uh, oh face. Links to this post.

fire in ice: Thank You Notes
http://fire-in-ice.blogspot.com/2012/08/thank-you-notes.html
A blog on historic pursuits, beadmaking, blacksmithing, and crafts in general. Friday, August 3, 2012. I've been streamlining shipping lately and am skimping where I shouldn't be. Namely, the thank you note. Ideally, it should be an individually written card lovingly enclosed and packaged with the order. It should thank the customer, remind them who they're shopping with, and encourage them to come back. Where does the thank you note fall in? What does this mean to me as a small business owner? I like to...

The musings and inspirations of an aspiring creative fairy godmother (including eye candy, recipes, and reviews). Sunday, February 12, 2012. Recipe: Wheat/corn/dairy-free Hot Pockets. My goofy youngest childebeast scarfs a ham and vegan mozz hot pocket. You'll need a kitchen scale to measure some of the dough ingredients. Prepare your fillings before you start the dough. You'll need two cookie sheets or jelly roll pans, or something flat on which to bake your delicious creations. The basics of the recipe:.

I'm delighted to be the June artist for Jeannie K. Dukic. S Echo Creative Club for 2014! Cherry blossoms are one of my favorite design motifs, so I couldn't resist selecting them when offered a choice of Jeannie's beads. The musings and inspirations of an aspiring creative fairy godmother (including eye candy, recipes, and reviews). Wednesday, September 24, 2014. A Galaxy of Blues: Coloring on the Blue Galaxy Swirl beads. Reduction glass from Double Helix Glassworks. This picture is of one of the Double Helix glass rods that I use to make the Blue Galaxy Swirl beads - very DEFINITELY pink glass, no? I *don't* make the Blue Galaxy Swirl beads with shards, though. I use stringers instead. Here's a picture of a few ...The p...
