Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Did he just say Peter Parker? The kids are really into super hereos. Jackson is a Spiderman guy . William prefers Batman . and Addison is SuperGirl. For a while, we were letting them watch some episodes of Batman and Spiderman on NetFlix. Until we decided that they really were not great content for 4 year olds . She must have asked me at least 10 times if Peter Parker was at church with us that day! The things they say. February 4, 2011 at 1:33 PM. March 7, 2011 at 1:42 PM.

The Pollard Triplets!: Hide and Seek
http://pollardtriplets.blogspot.com/2010/08/hide-and-seek.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. The kids love to play hide and seek. The boys really just like to hide but then tell you where they are. Usually they will hide somewhere (like under their bed) and the minute you walk in the room, they jump out and say "surprise! Addison is actually quite good at the game. She can stay hidden for a long time and never make a peep. But she never wants to hide alone . she wants to hide with Mommy. Long pause . you can tell they are processing this information. So cute. I love...

The Pollard Triplets!: May 2011
http://pollardtriplets.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 26, 2011. It is so hard to obey! As you can imagine, we spend a lot of time talking to our kids about making good choices. We talk about the fact that bad choices have consequences and how good it feels to make good choices; how proud we are of them when they obey us and how happy it makes God when we obey Him. The other morning, William and I were in my closet as I was picking out my suit for work . and here is the conversation:. William: I try to obey but it is so hard Mommy. William is t...

The Pollard Triplets!: How was your day?
http://pollardtriplets.blogspot.com/2010/06/how-was-your-day.html
Thursday, June 24, 2010. How was your day? Every day, when I come home from work, I always ask the kids what they did that day. I go into it knowing what they did because I've received the update from Daddy when I called home during my lunch break or to let him know I was headed home. Even though I know what they did, I always like to hear the kids' take on it. And that is why I get a big fat NOTHING! And that is exactly what happened this evening! Which sprarked a few "brains" in our best zombie voices.

Twist 'n Shout: June 2008
http://carolynmcbryde.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 03, 2008. Dear airport sign makers,. ARRIVALS and DEPARTURES . is that your best stuff? So far, every time I drive to the airport, I am arriving. I may be arriving to pick up someone or arriving to drop off someone but,. Maybe they should require experience in elementary carpool signage before one gets promoted to airports. Try DROP OFF and PICK UP, and then maybe I wouldn't have to go around and around so many times before I get it right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Twist 'n Shout: Color Committment
http://carolynmcbryde.blogspot.com/2008/08/color-committment.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I think my life would be simpler if I had a signature color. If you ask me what my favorite color is, I'd probably say.it depends. Am I wearing it or decorating with it? Is it a purse or a Sharpie? These things matter to me. I still go back to my childhood of shopping for school clothes and supplies. None of this 'if the shoes fits, buy it in every color' business. We got one pair, and it had to go with everything. Think Debbie.Think pink. Love that lady in red. They're both f...

Twist 'n Shout: January 2008
http://carolynmcbryde.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Does That Make Me Crazy? I like to run over dead squirrells in the road. There I've said it. Does that make me crazy? When I see a dead one in the road (not live ones, mind you) and I don't have to move into oncoming traffic, I just run over it. I wouldn't run over big animals. Dogs or cats or beavers or skunks. Well, unless Sarah S was in the car with me, and then I would hit a dead skunk because she likes the smell. Does that make her crazy? Apologies to Ryan N). Yesterday wa...

Twist 'n Shout: Stop the Paparazzi
http://carolynmcbryde.blogspot.com/2008/07/stop-paparazzi.html
Wednesday, July 02, 2008. Somebody stop the madness. I love a good photo-op as much as the next photographer. I have some candid shots of Matt and Scott that I treasure and plan to use as entertainment for the grandchildren someday. I've seen the celebrities take a camera and take photos of the paparazzi. Doesn't phase them. But let me get a photo of their mamas in bikinis on the beach, and I'm telling you this outrageous behavior will come to a complete halt. Just call us .The Stop-a-raz...
