Saturday, July 31, 2010. The Werewolf and the Savage. I painted this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He digs werewolves so I made him into one, and my last name is Savage. Yes, we are a good match. Scan (inaccurate colours and the subtle background is lost, but good detail retention). Iphone photos for detail/better colour shots (I need a new camera). Wednesday, November 11, 2009. An assignment for interpretive illustration class, a spin-off of Eustace Tilley. Designed for a postcard. It's meant to be a promotional New Yorker image. The idea is that King Kong dressed up and bought a ticket for a show, but once he arrived on location (Empire State Building) he realized that he WAS the show. In my head it was funny.
