Monday, June 2, 2014. Breaking the Beargrease in! Last winter I discovered the unmatched joy of riding a fat bike. I had raced Iceman for funsies on the shop demo and for me that was the final straw; I HAD to get one! When this past spring hit, I was faced with a difficult decision: keep the Mukluk. or re-home it and upgrade to the Salsa Beargrease. It really was a win-win situation! Monday, April 7, 2014. Beautiful day for a race! I had woken up early, felt great, and was super excited to race! I finally felt as though I had everything on lock-down and was comfortable with my pre-race routine: wake up, lay in bed for a while, make coffee, eat oatmeal, stretch, cuddle the dog, drink coffee. it's really a great routine! And quite frankly I was really relieved when I crossed the finish line. I had basically jumped right in to racing the NUE series immediately after the Great Lakes Fat Bike Series finished. Monday, July 14, 2014. The plan for July is to ride, ride, ride! I have a 12 hour race coming up August 2-3 in Wausau. Wisconsin which I am really excited for!
