Co-chair John Nygren says the committee today will approve fully funding SeniorCare as is with no changes to the popular prescription drug program. Republicans had talked about possibly increasing the enrollment fee, for example, as an alternative to Gov. Scott Walker's plan to require enrollees to apply for the federal program and enroll if eligible. Sen Jon Erpenbach, D-Middleton, praised the move.
