Black Girls Rule!: November 2007
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 29, 2007. Jason Whitlock and the New KKK. Not generally being a fan of professional team sports, I was not familiar until recently with Jason Whitlock. Who has become one of the most prominent black sports columnists in the United States. He writes for the Kansas City Star and AOL Sports. Considering the dearth of black people employed in professional journalism in this country this is quite an accomplishment, though Mr. Whitlock. Has built his career recently on his critiques of DBR.

Black Girls Rule!
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-recently-finished-book-former.html
Thursday, July 23, 2009. I recently finished a book by former Washington Post bureau chief for southern Africa, Jon Jeter. 8220;Flat Broke in the Free Market: How Globalization Fleeced Working People.” Well-researched and well-written, the book not only provides a factual analysis of the deindustrialization. And privatization processes, but follows Jeter. 8217;s travels around the globe as a black American reporting on his own first-hand experiences and eyewitness account of the impact of neoliberal.

Black Girls Rule!: Clinging to the "Black Card"
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2010/07/clinging-to-black-card.html
Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Clinging to the "Black Card". Are not black women the majority of the black community? How can black women reject something that they are the majority of? They would in essence be rejecting themselves. July 27, 2010 at 11:46 PM. July 27, 2010 at 11:55 PM. Are not black women the majority of the black community? Black Girls Rule!: Good Hair?
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2009/08/good-hair.html
Monday, August 3, 2009. What defines 'Good Hair'? Ice-T, Nia Long, Paul Mooney, Raven-Symone, Maya Angelou, Salt-n-Pepa, Eve and Reverend Al Sharpton all share their candid points of view for this raucous expose, prompted by Rock’s 5-year old daughter, Lola, who asked him, “Daddy, how come I don't have good hair? How do they reassure them of their beauty, when their own choices make fairly clear what they consider beautiful? How do feel about other women’s natural hair? I honestly believe that there is A...

Black Girls Rule!: September 2007
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 27, 2007. Many of the responses to my last blog expressing my disappointment in some of the anti-black commentary I've encountered from BW at IR blogs raised another concern that is shared by a number of sisters in this community: the use of language, and whether what we choose to talk about, and how we choose to talk about it, reflects our sense of empowerment and ability to achieve our goals of a happy and healthy life. Friday, September 21, 2007. Where is the Love? I've been loathe...

Black Girls Rule!: June 2011
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 6, 2011. I Ain’t Saying She’s A Gold Digger . . . The image of the black woman as a Gold Digger has evolved along a strange and peculiar path in the black community. The Gold Digger has only recently joined the Jezebel, the Mammy, the Mule, and Sapphire in the pantheon of stereotypes which are inflicted on black women; but the Gold Digger is unique in one way: her image is almost entirely the creation of black people. Riya Anandwala from Mumbai, India said. The concept of a woman marrying fo...

Black Girls Rule!: October 2007
http://blackgirlshaven.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 29, 2007. In visiting the comments sections of number of blogs, I can't help noticing a certain pessimism among a number of the commentators who have shared their experiences in the dating scene. Some women have had bad experiences, and many have concluded that the bloggers. Are much too "optimistic" in their assessment of the availability of non-black dates to BW. Thus, reading these comments has made think back on my own adventures in the world of online dating and in the dating world i...
