Thursday, February 25, 2010. Could stalking food blogs be considered virtual cooking? We got a new kitchen faucet today! For those of us who have been without hot water in our kitchen for almost a week now, this is very exciting). It really does put a damper on attempts to cook/bake. Not to mention, I don't really have anybody to cook for. Yet, I still have a wee obsession with food blogs (I'm kind of in love with Tastespotting. Until then, these are just asking to be made. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I had the kind of weekend that would make a guy cringe. Friday, my sister, mom, mom's friend, and I all ventured to Charlotte for Phantom of the Opera! I'd heard wonderful reviews already and was not disappointed. I finished up the weekend with the ultimate guy repellent - a baby shower! My sister and her friends hosted a jungle-themed shower for their friend, who is expecting a little boy in August. There I gorged myself on cheesecake bites and homemade (by my Grandma) mints.

Finding My Niche In Life. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Last June I decided to take up running and train for my first 5k. I did the Couch to 5k plan and ran my first 5k in August. Since then I have run 2 or 3 other 5k's and did the Krispy Kreme Challenge which is approximately 4.6 miles.
