The Macca Lang Road Trip. USA and Mexico countdown is on. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. G’day from Wellsford (woohoo we can pronounce this). Phew, what a long drive day today left our home at 9.15am and pulled into our new home at 4.40pm. Gotta say this side is not as pretty as the other side. We had lots of plans today for where we were going to stay but that didn’t happen. However, we have been on a car ferry, seen a really big tree, Lang fished, drove through a forest and nearly ran out of petrol.

The Macca Lang Road Trip. USA and Mexico countdown is on. Monday, October 20, 2014. G’day from Mangouni. Our accommodation for tonight is the Mangonui Hotel, this is the most northern hotel in New Zealand tomorrow we should see Tasmania. So today once again was a long drive day, we stopped a couple of times along the way but not a great deal happening and in 5 minutes we had seen the attractions of the towns. However special mention of the little town called Paihi, very nice indeed.

Very pretty especially the Gorge we drove past twice, very nice very Colorado like. Whilst at lunch and looking at the menu we came across a very interesting item. Chippi Chippi Bang Bang, what is that you ask? Ham&Banana is really Hamurana. Waihiiiiiiii is really Waihi. Goingtata is really Ngongotaha.
