We had the receipes and just had to cross our fingers and hope for the best and by the time 4 o'clock rolled around we were set, everything was prepared and just needed to be cooked. Wouldn't you know it, that was the exact point the power decided to go out! But hey, if our ancestors could pull off a Thanksgiving meal without electricity, then why shouldnt we be able to! Where the heck is Kyrgyzstan? Sunday, December 18, 2005. Life in snowy/muddy Tyup is alright. I’m told that it is unseasonably warm for Tyup right now. It’s always cold but not bone-chilling right now, though I have my Peace Corps-issued heater running on high ‘round-the-clock! Where the heck is Kyrgyzstan? Sunday, October 16, 2005. Hello from Kyrgyzstan (finally! I had a whole blog entry saved on my jump drive but for some reason it is refusing to work. Just my luck as always! Anyways, I am alive and well and living with a nice Turkish/Russian host family. They feed me pretty much grease and sugar for all meals but the tea is great! I am learning Russian (very slowly) and am looking forward when I can tell creepy guys to f-off! I hope all is well and I miss you all!
