Sarah's Gone to Ghana. Challenges faced, lessons learned, stories shared, feelings experienced and thoughts reflected on during my time in Ghana with Engineers Without Borders. About Engineers Without Borders. On Being A Woman. I have now been in Ghana for three months. I haven’t really talked about gender yet, so I thought perhaps it warranted a post. Let me illustrate with a few examples. He lists off personality traits that I don’t have, and even if I did, there’s no way he could know I have them....

Muli bwanji (How are you). Ndili bwino, kaya inu (I am fine how are you). I returned to my scrubbing thinking the man would move on. After a couple of seconds, he asked me:. Do you know me? https://laurenhockin.wordpress.com/about
The Lion's Story. Chronicling my Summer in Malawi. As the title of the blog suggests, this blog is all about telling the lion’s side of the story. I was touched by the Ghanaian proverb. Gnatola ma no kpon sia, eyenabe adelan to kpo mi sena. From ewe-mina meaning “Until the lion has his or her own storyteller, the hunter will always have the best part of the story” a few years ago and created the blog to relate my experience living the other side of the story of development. 3 responses to this post.

Carlo's Musings Vol. 2. Take the ‘international’ out of development. July 29, 2010 · 11:17 am. I have nothing interesting to say, which is ridiculous I know. I tried writing about the things you asked about but it was forced and uninteresting. I’ll be more than happy to talk to you about them in person. That being the case I won’t make this a real post, instead what I’ll do is commit to leaving this office and finding an experience worth writing about. 3 responses to “. July 29, 2010 at 3:04 pm. Carlo's Musings Vol. 2. Operation live something →. July 23, 2010 · 11:38 am. Take the ‘international’ out of development. The following post comes entirely from my weary-eyed perspective. It doesn’t reflect anyone’s views other than my own. In fact, if you ask Troy, the coach I reference, he’d give you a different picture. Don’t read too much into it. Things are going to be o.k. Now that you’re sufficiently freaked out, enjoy. I’m working on your requests. All JFs contemplate murder, no? Side note: MoFA...
