Table for One: Kat: Excess Baggage
http://tableforonenyc.blogspot.com/2009/06/kat-excess-baggage.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Sometimes I get really caught up in preparing elaborate meals made of several different dishes. It's a good way to get a balanced dinner, and a great way to practice your multitasking skills, but it can be very taxing night after night. Every now and again, I like to go back to the basics; use under 5 ingredients to turn out a delicious and filling meal. These two recipes are exactly that. 15 cups of water. 1 16 oz. bag of butter beans. 2 medium onions, minced. 2 tbsp corn starch.

http://tableforonenyc.blogspot.com/2011/03/kat-aint-isnt-word-and-i-aint-gonna-use.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. Kat: Ain't isn't a word and I Ain't Gonna Use it. I can't tell you how much I love Christina Pirello's Cooking the Whole Foods Way. Technically, it's a book of macrobiotic cooking, but don't let that scare you off! Every recipe is simple and 10 times even more delicious that it sounds on paper! This is a great book for vegetarians or anyone who needs some simple but delightful vegetable dishes in their life.who doesn't need that? Saute some carrots, celery, and onions:.

http://tableforonenyc.blogspot.com/2011/04/bacon-challenge.html
Thursday, April 14, 2011. A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from Foodbuzz announcing their Baconalia recipe challenge. Bacon? The chance to win some cash? After a few miliseconds of thought, I came up with the perfect bacon sandwich. A B.O.P., if you will. I give you:. THE BACON, OLIVE and ROASTED PEPPER SANDWICH! 4 slices BACON (I used some fancy brand the husband picked up for me). Whole wheat baguette, sliced into sandwich-sized pieces. A few slices of Dubliner cheese. 1 Cook the bacon.

Sunday, March 13, 2011. Jenna: Fairytales Ain't Just for Princesses. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you, our faithful readers, a story. A true story. So grab a beer, glass of wine, or one of Kat's yummy smoothies and settle in. What were the hungry campers to do? What did she expect him to say? He lived in the Grand Canyon for chrissake. But to her surprise he responded,'I have a few days off actually. I'm heading up tomorrow. Why? Perhaps one even just begun. Pretty freaking romantic, huh?

Table for One: Kat: I. Love. Sushi.
http://tableforonenyc.blogspot.com/2000/09/kat-i-love-sushi.html
Thursday, September 3, 2009. Kat: I. Love. Sushi. I Love. Sushi. I completely blame Jenna for the lack of sushi in my life pre-New York City. Indiana in the 90's was no place to find sushi, and especially in my house (my parents still refuse to try. The stuff), so there was no way that I was going to get introduced. In college, however, there was a sushi restaurant a rocks throw away from our house. Being from the city, Jenna was a sushi pro. Or at least that's that she led me to believe. 2 Steam any of ...

Table for One: Kat: The Morning After
http://tableforonenyc.blogspot.com/2009/11/kat-morning-after.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. Kat: The Morning After. This post is my love song to oatmeal. I discovered oats as a breakfast choice about a year ago. Actually, "discovered" is the wrong word. I ate my fair share of those single serving sugar-drenched oatmeal packets as a kid; I vividly remember fighting over the strawberry packet from the variety box with my brother, and wanting to die. Is crazy for underestimating the possibilities of this warm, nutritious, and delicious. And lengthening the cooking time.
