Gonditsa IV, Moon 8, Aliastra Retail Center. The door gave in splintering as Romain’s studded leather boots unerringly directed the imitated wood into the foyer behind it. With the noise faded away in the hall’s widths and silence filling them again, Romain took back a step and revealed the lean Ash. Never forget, we’re nice guys, Ash said smiling sardonicly and knocked at the door. Romain nodded grimly and backed downed a step, his hand on his gun. Three … Two … One …. A half …? A quarter …. Romain took...

And on the Seventh day there was light…at the end of the tunnel | Facepalm's Ramblings

Where th' obvious be anythin' but. And on the Seventh day there was light…at the end of the tunnel. After over 7 days of training I’m finished with various random Learning skills, Mining Barge III and Astrogeology IV. Retriever here I come! For all of you out there thinking “7 days of training? This guy ain’t seen nothing yet! What a sucker”…well maybe. You have to start with baby steps before running and I’m happy with the progress I’ve made so far, be-it ever so small. My dreams of flying a Hulk should...

Back in the saddle | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/07/29/back-in-the-saddle
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. Back in the saddle. Well I’ve finally recovered from my weekend away, one of the few remaining Bachelor Parties this old body may see for awhile. Regardless it was a blast! So that’s the skill training landscape I’ve setup for the foreseeable future. Once that was all lined up I set upon getting a new mining barge, the Retriever! I’m finally starting to make some money, but I’m going to need every penny as those Hulk’s ain’t cheap! By Facepalm on July 29, 2009. Sweet Li...

Eve in Review: July 2009 | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/eve-in-review-july-2009
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. Eve in Review: July 2009. I’ve read many posts which summarize their past monthly accomplishments in their game of choice. I like the concept and I’ll be jumping on the bandwagon more for personal reference than anything else. Being able to see, as this blog grows and ages, what I was up to in months/years past is very appealing. I don’t currently have much to contribute , but you have to start somewhere I guess. And here is my current chart:. July 2009 Skills Chart.

Skillin’ Up | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/07/17/skillin-up
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. There isn’t much going on in the world of EVE for me at the moment, being a new, solo, non-corporation member. This is probably a good thing considering the amount of time it usually takes me to get a solid grasp of things. Regardless I still feel the urge to ramble on, so here we go again. I was intrigued by Kirith’s post. But perhaps it’s still a good indicator of where a true EVE ‘newbie’ will find themselves after around 8 weeks in New Eden. 28 Million Skill Points.

Jackpot! | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/07/20/jackpot
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. So this weekend I finally had a good chunk of time to spend in space. As I’ve rambled in the past I’m currently focused on mining. I had attempted a small dose of it early on, but now I really wanted to do nothing. Mining and see how far it could take me. This weekend I decided to give a few other belts a look-see and when I arrived at the first new belt I was quite shocked. There were some HUGE. Rocks floating right in front of me! I was amazed, this would be. On a sid...

May | 2009 | Got ISK?
https://corpsecollectionpoint.wordpress.com/2009/05
I had a 1v1 yesterday. And, as usually, I failed horribly. First I still had an 18km orbit from earlier trips with my Vexor and using my Incursus’ standard commands I tried orbiting the opposing Rifter. But I didn’t realize I told the ship to orbit at 18km and just wondered why I always kept flying away from shortrange … well, that’s the first fail. Props to Leeloo Malaquin. Note: that’s not meant to malign Lee’s combat skills – he still won because of. Skills and not because of my non-skills). Ash looke...

My Own Personal Asteroid Belt | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/08/04/my-own-personal-asteroid-belt
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. My Own Personal Asteroid Belt. I have been in the process of packing up shop and moving out of Jita, in the hopes of joining my first real Corporation! Once I finally arrived I began familiarizing myself with the surrounding constellations. I was looking for a good spot to setup my mining operation. With the help of Ombeve’s amazing 2D EvE Maps. I was under the impression that these mini-asteroid belts were full of tiny rocks with little substance, boy was I wrong!

I’ve Moved! | Facepalm's Ramblings
https://rcurrie.wordpress.com/2009/08/05/ive-moved
Where th' obvious be anythin' but. Chalk this one up to poor planning and being a new blogger. Hindsight is 20/20 they say. I’ve changed this blog over to a more relevant address, the existing one was a bit too personal and I may want to repurpose it later. Hopefully I don’t lose anyone in the process, but the new blog can be found at: http:/ freddyfacepalm.wordpress.com. Thank you for your understanding! By Facepalm on August 5, 2009.
