Unordinaryday: Benjamin Franklin's Plug for (Traditional) Marriage
http://unordinaryday.blogspot.com/2014/09/benjamin-franklins-plug-for-traditional.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Benjamin Franklin's Plug for (Traditional) Marriage. While I do not subscribe to the idea that all unmarried men are incomplete animals, Franklin's point is clear: Without a wife, man is missing out on a lot of wonderfulness! Kyle and I make a wonderful, super, awesome team. (Please excuse all the superlatives! Even on the days when I don't help as much as I would like, it's easy to see that life is better together! Unordinaryday: Med School Away Rotations-What to Bring
http://unordinaryday.blogspot.com/2014/09/med-school-away-rotations-what-to-bring.html
Saturday, September 20, 2014. Med School Away Rotations-What to Bring. We're finishing our last away rotation soon. We've been in three different towns for away rotations over the course of Kyle's medical school. For each rotation, we've been able to stay a month at a time in a "furnished apartment" that was provided by the medical school. It has been fun to experience what constitutes a "furnished" apartment! What we deem normal, everyday necessities are often not included! Laundry detergent, etc. I'm s...

Monday, October 7, 2013. Colors as Varied as Fall. Ashlee gave me the yellow mum last November. The red flowers are more numerous this year! Thanks to a wonderfully wet and cooler summer, my morning glories are indeed glorious! The morning glories cascade over both sides of the fence, with over a dozen blooms! God has created such beauty! November 2010
http://brockmanadventures.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Everyday and Everything Inbetween. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Each year, we've begun sort of a tradition. We get the family 4 pack and take Pops to the Nuggets game. Comes with a drink and dinner too! It's lots of fun. Of course, Rilynn loves the pizza. And then, she saw it. The man with the cotton candy above his head. And of course, it is in her blood to need some, just like her Mama. :). So we went on a hunt to find someone who takes credit cards since we used all our cash on parking. The crowd was go...

December 2010

Everyday and Everything Inbetween. Christmas Time is here! Thursday, December 2, 2010. December 1st slammed itself right into our life like a speedy train, right on track. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the end of the year comes. And each year, I look forward to Christmas time but then dread everything commercially attached to the holiday. This year, we'll have a new approach. As a family, we will make a conscious effort to stop and enjoy each other and to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

Can you make out the words? It's hard to beleive that she knows her ABCs already! December 7, 2010 at 7:21 PM.

Everyday and Everything Inbetween. Steamboat Lake with the Gerdes Family. Sunday, January 9, 2011. Posted by Nik Brockman. Steamboat Lake, Colorado, December 27-29. One of my favorite things to do is see if I can hold my breath through the Eisenhower Tunnel. But usually I'm driving so I don't try it (my wife doesn't want me to pass out at the wheel because of a silly game). But since I wasn't driving, I got to try it. And guess what - I did it. I know, you're all so jealous. The evening was spent buildin...
