It was an amazing experience and they were all so beautifully displayed. I learned that they replant all the flowers each year. Astounding. Zaanse Schans Windmills and Wooden Shoes. At Zaanse Schans we learned how wooden shoes are made. We saw the windmills and enjoyed the beautiful spring flowers. All over the world.

THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Saturday, June 16, 2007. In 2 weeks we will have our first teenager. I am not sure I am ready for that. We had her party early because some of her friends are going on vacation. I just hope that for the next few years I am able to deal with the ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, AND DID I MENTION ATTITUDE! Saturday, June 9, 2007. Whether we are saying hello, or goodbye there are many things we can learn from those that we meet in our travels. 3rd grader played th...

JACOBSEN FAMILY IN ACTION: Burg Trifels

THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Sunday, March 15, 2009. The main room in the castle. The Spiral Staircase, and chandelier with candles. I would sit in the dark if that was the way to get light. I quess I could hire someone to do it for me. After the castle adventure we all decided since we were so close we would go to France for pastries. I don't have pictures of that because of course my hands were both full of pastries and there wasn't room for the camera. March 16, 2009 at 12:53 PM.

JACOBSEN FAMILY IN ACTION: December 2008
http://mrsjake.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Sunday, December 7, 2008. We finally got some snow in Mannheim. We moved here 2 years ago expecting more snow in the winter, but mostly got rain. The kids were so excited that they ran outside and started making snowballs. Then we went for our traditional "First snow of the season" walk. It was so much fun. We analyzed. Our foot prints, and made snow angels, threw snowballs at each other and enjoyed one anothers. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All over the world.

JACOBSEN FAMILY IN ACTION: March 2007
http://mrsjake.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Thursday, March 1, 2007. Where does all the time go. It seems lately that I never have enough time to do the things I want to do. Yesterday, my husband had to travel to another town for work, and asked me if I would like to go. I figured it would do me good to get out of the house, and I planned to do some shopping for a few things I need. With 5 children I don't often get to go shopping for myself. JACOBSEN FAMILY IN ACTION: July 2007
http://mrsjake.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Tuesday, July 24, 2007. I have only three days left of summer school. I don't know what I am going to do with them until school starts at the end of August. They all have so much energy, and I am convinced that they suck my energy right out of me. So, then they have excess, and I don't have enough. I love them all and I have been trying to spend time with each of them, but it is so hard to find the time to spend with them alone. THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. Saturday, November 1, 2008. Halloween was good this year. We actually went trick or treating. The joy of the whole night was when my daughter said we could skip the rest of the houses because "We had enough candy". Moderation is finally a concept to her. I will count this year as a success.
