Team Bruns Blog: August 2015
http://teambruns.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Sunday, August 30, 2015. I think we've lost count as to how many times we've seen Kelly Clarkson. I need to count my ticket stubs, but after a quick review on her wikipedia. Page, I think this concert was our 11th? We saw her once in Dallas for a charity concert that wasn't part of a tour, so I think that's what pushes us over the double-digit mark. In any event, you could say we're Kelly Clarkson fans. Stop #1 of the great Party Bus! Here we all are - ready to party!

Team Bruns Blog: July 2014
http://teambruns.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Monday, July 21, 2014. Back in March, Chris and Walt built a garden. In the months that followed, we've had a wonderful time nurturing the garden and watching it grow. In fact, because our summer was so mild up until now, we've had quite the crop! We thought our cucumbers were never going to make it (they started out pretty pitiful), but they ended up being the best thing we had. This was one day worth of picking. Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Of your belongings just to take a...

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. We just got back from our first airplane-distance family trip, and I think it was a success! Last year, we took a trip to Galveston. With friends, which was a great way to practice vacationing as a family of four. This time we flew to Denver, CO and stayed for a whole week! I'll tell the story of the trip in pictures. I pride myself in being a pretty frugal packer, but traveling with two young ones is challenging! Walt and I, ready for take off!

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Wednesday, July 2, 2014. First Family Vacation - Galveston 2014. A number of things had me nervous nelly about this trip (none of which had to do with all the company we were bringing). I was worried about the drive (it's five hours non-stop and there's no way we're not stopping with the two boys). I was worried about sleeping arrangements (our idea was to put all the big kids in one room. A sleep-over first for Walt! And a partridge in a pear tree. We got a family pic!

These come so fast and furious with the second kiddo. 18 months definitely doesn't sound like a baby anymore, and Oscar wants you to know that he's definitely a big boy. He's really developed a fabulous personality and I sure love all the talking. First things first, here are his stats. If you're curious, here are Walt's 18 month stats. 27 lbs 8 oz*. 87%. He talks up a storm!

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. The One with the Wedding Dresses. Do you ever make a comment, "We should totally do that! And you never do? I know. It happens to all of us. It happens so often that you rarely even regret that you didn't do that thing because you've long forgotten about it. But, no no no. Not with this girl. Then I said, "WE should wear our wedding dresses, Friends' style! And that's when this happened. And that's just what we did! Friday, March 13, 2015. Today wa...

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Friday, May 22, 2015. This summer, instead of doing the Emler/AquaTots learn-how-to-swim-all-summer-long route, we decided to do a week's worth of swim lessons with Walt at Ms Erin's Swim School. Ms Erin does private group swim lessons out of her house. It's 30-minutes a day for a whole week. After hearing this, I actually thought Walt would retain more of the skills learning this way (especially at this age). Friday, May 15, 2015. Bruns Family Spring Round Up. Since I got...

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Oscar is 12 Months. While I wrote an epic blog about Oscar's first birthday, I still need to document all the cool stuff Oscar is doing now that he's a full 12 months old. And, let's be honest, his first birthday party was more about me ;). I'm a year old! First and foremost, we got a clean bill of health from Dr. G. Here are his stats:. If you're interested, Walt's stats here. Bye Bye / Hi. Eat (points to mouth). Peek-a-boo (aka "Where's Oscar?

Chris, Nicole, Walt, and Oscar. Sunday, October 26, 2014. Trip to the Hospital. Well, it's been a wild week to say the least. After a wonderful long weekend in Gilmer for the Yamboree. Things just never got back to normal, In fact, they turned down right scary. I got a call on Monday afternoon. We had to keep him home on Tuesday. I had my head wrapped around started that "normal week" I so wanted to have. His pulse ox was also dropping. At this point it was 92. Now they start to get concerned....They ...
