Maddocks Merriment and Mayhem. Saturday, October 29, 2011. White Beach Branch Activity. For our church fall activity this year, we went camping at White Beach and had a chili cook-off! By the time we started back toward the beach the tide had gone out enough that we walked half the way back! Overall, it was a great weekend! Cute kitty that lives by the cabins. We also had two cute baby lizards living inside our cabin. Good thing they don't freak me out! I just thought they were adorable!

Maddocks Merriment and Mayhem. Monday, September 19, 2011. Okinawa Zoo - July 4, 2011. The local Zoo here is only a ten minute drive from our house, but the buildings here are so packed and crammed in together- you'd never know! We went on a REALLY hot and humid day, so we traveled through a lot quicker than I'd like to. However, since it's so close I'll be going back in the "winter" when the temps are in the 60-70 range! Maddocks Merriment and Mayhem. Monday, August 8, 2011. Typhoon Muifa, August 2011. Soooooo.what can I say about a typhoon? Well, I experienced some of Hurricane Ivan several years back while I was in Georgia, but this tyhpoon (pronounced "moo-ee-fa") was CRAZY! We had winds of up to 98mph, but that wasn't the crazy part. The craziness was that it lasted over three days. Plus, it got more intense once the eye passed us! This is a 9 foot high fence! Amy and Charles Maddocks. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Maddocks Merriment and Mayhem. Thursday, July 21, 2011. Shelled it. It was used for other purposes throughout the years, and then in 1992 it was reconstructed on top of the original site using records, photographs, and memory. We spent almost the entire day there and STILL didn't see everything! It was amazing and beautiful to be a part of. I plan on visiting this site again! Sorry for the amount of pics, but we just had so many interesting photo ops! Okinawan Soba = most delicious food here. Divine!
