October 30, 2008. What a great day! Tomorrow is my 12th birthday, and Ms. MacFey surprised me today by giving me a brand new, hardback copy of. Lord of the Rings. It's bound in leather and has a green ribbon bookmark! I've never had such a nice book. I don't even know if I've ever seen such a nice book. All the books I have are paperbacks, and most of them are pretty worn. (I read a lot) :-). I'm going to take such good care of this book. It's the greatest thing I own! October 25, 2008. January 27, 2009. It's almost February 1st, and I haven't talked to Rowan yet. He's somewhere deep in my head. It's fine with me if he stays there. I can still feel him in there, but just barely. It's more like a memory of him being there. Maddy has been all excited about her task of researching Imbolc. I just can't bring myself to talk to Rowan.
