The Monday Blog: Road Trip With Kids: Activities & Staying Sane when Driving Solo

Monday, June 30, 2014. Road Trip With Kids: Activities and Staying Sane when Driving Solo. The kids (ages 1.5 and 4) and I spent the last week and a half in California meeting my newest nephew (who is adorable and we absolutely LOVE), visiting my grandparents and some aunts and uncles, and having a blast on the coast with my parents in Cambria. We built sandcastles and let the sun kiss our cheeks. And the most impressive part of the trip? Excuse the horrible lighting—I took these at night). Most of the a...

The Monday Blog: For the Extroverts & Introverts: How to be a welcoming group of people
http://www.madeitonmonday.com/2014/07/for-extroverts-introverts-how-to-be.html
Sunday, July 6, 2014. For the Extroverts and Introverts: How to be a welcoming group of people. I am definitely an extrovert. Watch me with a group of people and there is no doubt about it. But I have gained some introvertedness since becoming a mom. (Perhaps this stems from the fact that I can never be alone? That makes me very sensitive to how other people are connecting in social settings. Here are a few things I think all members of a group should be mindful of:. 8221; Find connection points—do...

The Monday Blog: Simple Bibs {Tutorial}
http://www.madeitonmonday.com/2013/02/simple-bibs-tutorial.html
Friday, February 22, 2013. Between spit up and drool I can pretty much guarantee something is pouring out of my four-month-old’s mouth at all times. And even though we keep our Perfect Burp Rags. Within arms reach, sometimes (or should I say most of the time? Reese is sporting a soaking wet onesie. I picked up some flannel and cuddle fabric at Joann’s to make a bib that could rival the simplicity of my favorite burp rags. For a great baby shower gift! You can download the pattern HERE. I used my snap tool.

Ryan, Laura and Kids. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. St Patrick's Day and Puerto Rico- LONG post! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I have to admit it was fun watching the kids all walk to school this morning because everyone had on a green shirt. It was fun to see all the different shades of green! My cute mom comes down every St. Paddy's day and leaves the "loot" and makes the green foot prints on the porch for the kids. They LOVE it! Day 1- Travel Day- when our flight got in it was raining VERY hard and our Taxi d...
Ryan, Laura and Kids: Guess what??
http://ryandlawoodbury.blogspot.com/2010/05/guess-what.html
Ryan, Laura and Kids. Wednesday, May 5, 2010. We got a dog! Yep I finally caved! And it really hasn't been bad- I must admit. She is a silky yorkie. Her name is Megs and is 3 years old and is 9 pounds- perfect size. And I don't have to potty train! I have no clue what I am doing! Hopefully with a fenced backyard she will not want to dart out the front door everytime it opens! PS This is the best picture I could get of her- she is terrified of the camera! She is SO CUTE! Ryan, Laura and Kids: Blackmail
http://ryandlawoodbury.blogspot.com/2010/03/blackmail.html
Ryan, Laura and Kids. Monday, March 15, 2010. So tonight I was reading Fablehaven to the kids as they were going to sleep and we came across the word Blackmail. Talia immediately asked what this word meant. I explained it as "bribing someone to get something in return." She spouts off in 2 seconds flat "You do that to us! Haha I had to laugh. Yes I do, do that! Come on, we all do! Especially as mothers- I'm not opposed to it! Hopefully I am not the only bad mom out there! April 8, 2010 at 9:44 AM. Craft ...

Life with the Nelsons: Maturing…
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2013/02/maturing.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. This little boy has aged a little bit too much for me lately. Aside from being what his pediatrician describes as a “big boy,” his vocabulary, reasoning skills, physical accomplishments and over all love of learning speak to a maturing Jace. That is, as “mature” as you can call a freshly turned three year old. Mommy” “Train tracks. Jace, don’t stand on your train tracks. They might break. [Stepping off and giggling] “Mommy you said the wrong word.”. For the first times since...

Jessica's Journey: February 2014
http://thecrazylifeofjessica.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 8, 2014. Y'all What is going on? A monthly update a week after the month is over? Ha You have the snow day (AGAIN) to thank. Maybe I am slowly getting back into the blogging groove. I spent New Year's Eve with a few friends by eating at Bonefish and then going back to someone's house for a game night. There is some video evidence of the rock band. However that will stay hidden as blackmail. Ha. Here was my street last night after the snow had been falling for a couple of hours. Jessica...

The Little Things: Testing Motivational Treats
http://tinklovescupid.blogspot.com/2012/04/testing-motivational-treats.html
Thursday, April 5, 2012. I made some treats for my 3rd graders for the FCAT testing. I'm getting ready to go on maternity leave so I wanted to give them something just to let them know I'm thinking about them. I do it every year and I hope this will motivate them to do their very best. I have an outstanding group of kiddos and I know they will make me proud. :). Here are the treats! Super fun idea. Now I feel I should do something too. : ). April 5, 2012 at 9:07 PM. Abusybee - DoubleClick Connections.

Sunday, December 14, 2014. Finding Peace in the Midst of the Christmas Crazy. In John 16:33 Jesus, who was hours away from his arrest, told His disciples, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Jesus knew the troubles His disciples would face and He knows the troubles you face—big or small. He knows the season you're in and He gives peace. Do you know Jesus?
