Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: Work in Progress
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/03/work-in-progress.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Thursday, March 12, 2015. This is what my lounge room chair permanently looks like with work in progress. The mundane part of needle felting that demands a lot of punching is a good evening activity in front of the telly. This is my kitchen bench this morning where I needed to add a sealing coat to some of my little needle felted figures. I use half PVA and water. And use a large stiff bristled paint brush to coat the felt. I also baked muffins this morning! Tracy's white...

Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: The Details
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-details.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Sunday, July 12, 2015. I love putting detail on my work. I like to use beads, buttons, cross stitch (the only embroidery stitch I can do! Little charms, broken jewellery bits, earrings that I have loved, bits of gorgeous and interesting yarns, twisted, textured wools and any other interesting bits I have collected over the years. The trouble is, you can easily overdo the details and sometimes a piece looks better without it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). ANDREA GRAH...

Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Monday, March 16, 2015. Living as an expat in PNG has its challenges but also has lots of opportunities to meet new and interesting people. Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: Suitcase Emptied in PNG
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/06/suitcase-emptied.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Friday, June 5, 2015. Suitcase Emptied in PNG. Back in PNG last week and today I am organising all my bits that I brought back from NZ so I can get on with creating more boats. I managed to get a big bag of crossbred wool from Kane Carding that has been beautifully dyed and will give me some new colours to work with. I am most excited about the little charms I brought from Etsy but more about that latter when I open and sort the bags. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: Ready to Voyage
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/03/ready-to-voyage.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Sunday, March 22, 2015. These have just been completed and I have photographed them in the garden of our compound in Lae. One great thing about living here is that it is always very green and lush and we are lucky to have a lovely garden that we can enjoy (no picking the tropical flowers though! 8230; and you can't even try to seek a few as there is a gardner and three guards always watching what is going on). Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: Victorian Science Fiction
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/06/victorian-science-fiction.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Friday, June 19, 2015. Steam Punk is a lot of fun…. and really gets the imagination going. Just about anything goes as it is all science fiction inspired by the Victorian era, old west, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, steam powered engines, and all manner of weird and wonderful things made of brass, cogs and wheels, clockwork, rubber, leather but in my case mostly out of felt. All the extra little bits, the keys, cogs and chains are some of my finds from Etsy. This is what I do.

Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist: A Felting Marathon
http://jillgunn.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-felting-marathon.html
Jill Gunn Felt and Fibre Artist. Monday, May 18, 2015. I am back in NZ for a few weeks and I was determined to find time to do a little felting. I found my stash of batts and dyed silk that I have been saving for a rainy day and dived in to make a big pile of pieces that I will take back to PNG. I love having a good variety that I can choose from when I start a project. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Google Website Translator Gadget. This is what I do.
