Days In The Life. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Elliott was sick for our Entire Trip. To California. He got sick on Day 1 and instead of blowing it off in 24-48 hours as his sister had, he got worse and worse all week. (Took him to the doc after we got home - magnificent raging ear infections in both ears. He's better now.). At the monarch butterfly migration. Yes, yes, yes, yes, and YES. Days In The Life. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. And everything in it. It was somebody's birthday in May. Nory turned. FIVE. She is so much. everything. So much fun, so much work, so much joy, so much love, so much noise, so much personality. She is such a great sister. I wouldn't exactly say that she is all the time every second kind and patient. but she is a fun and constant and loving friend and sister to Elliott. She continues to believe it means that she gets the slightly bigger/better/faster/first thing.

Days In The Life. Monday, March 4, 2013. Kids love sand. My kids are no exception. They can spend hours digging and throwing and running and jumping and burying. Until one of them does a face plant and 30 seconds later the other one rubs her eyes with sandy fingers and then suddenly both of them are screaming with red sandy eyes and sandy mouths and sandy ears and Dan and I are rushing them back to the car so we can drive to our friends' house (thank you, Isaacs! And dump them in a bathtub.

Days In The Life. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Earlier this summer (beginning of June - oops! We went camping. It was the first time taking all 5 of us (4 humans finny) so obviously reinforcements were needed. Linden and Elsa provided all the cooking gear and know-how, as well as firewood. Days In The Life. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. February was a short month, but a full one! Nory's preschool's Valentine's performance (I've spared you the video). Second girl scout meeting. Complete with chocolate covered strawberries to share with Susanna and Lydia, with love from Nana and Papa. Puddle stomping at the Arboretum. Dan's birthday and birthday party - seriously not even one picture? How can that be? Making kebabs for Dan's Polio Party. Loving having a friend two houses down the road!

Days In The Life. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Minivan adventure number 2: Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA. We waited in line for about 4000 hours to take a ferry across to the peninsula, and then sat in traffic for a while, but finally got to the festival. We had the afternoon to run through lavender fields and play on the sandspits of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge. And that part was awesome. Friday, September 20, 2013. Days In The Life. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. January with ski videos. Nory's most recent ski - a blue run at Steven's Pass. Out with the old, in with the new (bonus points if you can tell which is which). Every Friday since the ski areas opened in January I've been taking Nory and Elliott skiing. Nory has lessons and I ski with Elliott. Side note: This has made me view the Olympics with an entirely new outlook. BEHIND EVERY ATHLETE is a mother. The moms. End of side note. Taking my bike in for some TLC.

Days In The Life. Thursday, June 20, 2013. Photos "borrowed" from grandpa :). I finally weaned Elliott by sending him away for a week with Daddy to Wisconsin. Where he was clearly miserable and neglected-. Except exactly the opposite. In the mornings when he woke up wanting to nurse, Grandma and Grandpa would swoop him up and take him to the street in front of their house- where they had arranged for Elliott to have his own personal Digger and Bulldozer show for the week! Pink shoes because. why not?
