Cath In Canada: Back to reality.
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2013/10/back-to-reality.html
Tuesday, 22 October 2013. The summer passed very quickly in France and we are now back in dull, grey, miserable Bradford. I may post some pictures which I took throughout summer in the Loire Valley at a later date when I have finished editing them. In the meantime, this is what brought us back from Canada, our beautiful Granddaughter. Posted by Mick Flynn. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Cath In Canada: Lost soul.
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2013/11/lost-soul.html
Thursday, 21 November 2013. I'm feeling a bit like a lost soul right now after returning from a nice holiday at the Fiestas in Benidorm which was really up tempo, to come back to grey Britain. Saw great live music from Orquesta Birmania. These guys above were on a professional stage in one of the main streets and were a real treat. Great entertainers with boundless energy. The end of the Fiestas are marked with a giant firework display on Pontiente beach. So, why a lost soul? Well, as the opportunities f...

Cath In Canada: June 2009
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 5 June 2009. Back in the UK. Thanks to everyone who has been reading my blog since I started it last year, and especially to those who have commented, but as some of you know, there were reasons why the posts got thinner as time went on, and unfortunately there will be no more posts from Canada as we have returned to the UK. We both wish everyone still working at H&R, and elsewhere the very best of luck in the future, whatever that might bring for you all. Posted by Mick Flynn. Links to this post.

Cath In Canada: Et ceux qui ne font rien ne se trompent jamais.
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2013/03/et-ceux-qui-ne-font-rien-ne-se-trompent.html
Saturday, 30 March 2013. Et ceux qui ne font rien ne se trompent jamais. I may continue this blog but in a re-named form (when I think of a good name for it) when we return to work the summer season in the Loire Valley at Le Moulin Fort. In the meantime I have been busy working out of Leeds for a machinery movement firm driving two different trucks, and old DAF . And now a newer Mercedes 16 litre V8. This March has seen us have a nice dump of snow up North, so it'll be nice to be heading south.

Cath In Canada: October 2008
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 October 2008. Missing Friends And Family (not yet). Today I wrote my notice out, and that was hard, because I really enjoy where I work, I have a brilliant boss and really great work colleagues, I will really miss them. I finish at the end of November. I know Mick feels the same way, he has been with the same company for ten years , so he is also bound to miss his workmates and friends. Posted by Mick Flynn. Cath In Canada: March 2009
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 March 2009. A quick post, but a big one should be on the way as we are on an enforced reset due to a TriPak breakdown (a thing that provides electricity and keeps the truck batteries charged) so I'll have time to catch up. We are at the Lethbridge Lodge for Saturday and Sunday, which has great internet access. PS Mick and Barb, look us up if you are there. Posted by Mick Flynn. Links to this post. Cath In Canada: Another new feature on Flickr, image embedding.
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2013/12/another-new-feature-on-flickr-image.html
Thursday, 19 December 2013. Another new feature on Flickr, image embedding. Is this a good or a bad thing? It seems they are going the same direction as Panoramio did when Google got their hands on them, and as someone who used Panoramio and was quite pleased to see my images on Google Earth reach over 4,000,000 views, I soon changed my tune when I was finding them all over the web on travel sites etc. My option then was to delete my account at Panoramio, so, will the same happen with Flickr? Subscribe t...

Cath In Canada: New Grand Daughter
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2012/12/new-grand-daughter.html
Monday, 24 December 2012. This is the reason we came home. Somewhere way back in this blog I mentioned that my Gran and Grandad emigrated to Canada in 1911, then returned to England. They went back in 1913 (shown here) and were listed as 'Returned Canadians', I wonder if they had citizenship? They returned to the UK once again for the first world war and never went back to Canada although my Grans brothers stayed there and made good lives for themselves. Cath In Canada: June 2011
http://cathincanada.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Friday, 24 June 2011. They can't keep everyone down! Just to be clear: This post is from a friend of ours who beat H&R in court. I tried to post this on Micks Blog H&R Transport Lethbridge but I couldn't get on it. Last year Mick wrote a post regarding his pal who had been sacked from H&R, this post received many negative comments about him and Brits in general. It was like a court case in that they presented their "evidence" and witnesses which I could then cross examine and then we presented our eviden...
