Decorah, Here We Come! Monday, August 10, 2015. The weekend following our trip to Ely, we turned right back around and headed over to Decorah. We were celebrating Lia's 1st birthday and Joe and Bobbi's 40th anniversary, and also just finding a time to all be together! We packed a lot of stuff into a short amount of time! Happy Father's Day, Joe! Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Father's Day came and went fast because we had 7 baseball games in one day! But, there's no other place Joe would rather be than watching his boys play baseball! So, no complaining here. But, because we did that, we decided to give Monday to Joe as Father's Day. I cleaned the house, prepared a special meal, set the table nice, and the boys and Saylor filled out coupons that had to be used on that night only. Go to bed without complaining. Pick up dog poop.

Monday, April 29, 2013. Last week Murph and I took 3 days off and had ourselves a little staycation. I originally had hoped we would be somewhere warm and tropical this Spring but it was a no go and fingers are crossed for the fall now. We were super productive and I am really happy about the projects we were able to complete! Took Willy to the groomer for his first haircut. Ugh, disaster. He was butchered and came back super stressed. We won't be doing that again. Finished up the rest of the yard work.

Monday, January 6, 2014. Two new lights went in this weekend at Hawthorn Drive as well as a new ceiling fan. One ceiling fan to go, one closet light fixture and possibly another new fixture in the laundry room (not loving the $15 fix we did in there) and we will be calling it a wrap in the lighting department! I can't believe we've got them almost all changed out! These old guys made my eyes bleed. Much better . now about the oak EVERYWHERE! What else is on tap in the reno department this year? Mom and I took the task on, only hoping to get close to the yum factor that my gramma achieves every year. Of course, I won't be able to share the "secret" recipe but let me just say-the work it takes to make the jelly far outweighs the ingredients in. Boiling the berries to get them ready for the juicing. Hard work ;).

He was playing a lot that morning, then got quiet and I looked over and he had just fallen asleep right in the middle of the floor. That's a rare occurance. Jax made the ornament at daycare! Donnie got to come home for 4 days over Christmas which was the best thing ever. So we didn't go anywhere and had it just be us three which was awesome. Jax was really excited when he got a MN Wild hat. Yes Jax, you fit. By the way, Jax loves cake.

Thursday, March 11, 2010. I will graduate in May with my Master's Degree. How exciting. The internship is going well so far. I really enjoy the time at the school and I am learning so much. The Guidance Counselor I am working with has 22 years experience and she is GREAT! She even said I could have her job in 4 years when she retires.
