Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Sunday, April 27, 2014. Blue Monday- Blue Heron in the Lake. We are finally out of winter weather and into spring and I could not be happier. SMILES each and everyday I see the sun or even the rain just as long as I'm not cold or scraping snow or ice off my windshield. So much has happened, so much to share, so little time. Here he is meditating :-). And now showing off his wings! It's a great day to share the blues with Smiling Sally and her crew! Best Fr...

early morning peace: Hug the people in your life
http://earlymorningpeace.blogspot.com/2015/04/hug-people-in-your-life.html
Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Monday, April 6, 2015. Hug the people in your life. I want to sleep in. However, I find that I am very productive at this crazy hour. The house is very quiet because everyone else seems to be able to sleep until they are woken by the sun. Just recently I planned and executed my daughter's 21st birthday. This week has been pretty busy because the kids are on Spring Break- woohoo! So we took some time off to visit family. After the year we've had so far,...

Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Sunday, February 10, 2013. Blue Monday: What makes me happy. Because I suffer from "lack of sunlight syndrome" I sometimes spend a little time each gloomy day looking at things that make me happy and brighten my day. Sometimes it works just to enough to help me refocus. This is Delaware. It's pretty and it's cold. It is entirely too flat for me but you can't beat that beautiful sky and bright day. Wont you stay a while? To see blues around the world! Theme...

early morning peace: December 2013

Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Sunday, December 22, 2013. Dominican Republic: experiencing Alzheimers. When my dad last visited us which was a few years after our visit he told me she was really forgetful, repeating herself a lot. He did not know what to do or how to handle it. He thought she was going crazy "loca" he said. That's when I contact the Alzheimer's Association. Dad is just chillin'. Mom showing me the chickens in the yard. Squeaker toys that entertain Mom. Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Thursday, January 1, 2015. New Year 2015-Focus on here and now. This year it was difficult to celebrate the last week of the year. On December 23rd 2014 seven of my family members were traveling from New York to Florida to celebrate the season. Among them were my younger sister Clarabel, my older sister Alba and her husband Juan, their two kids Juan Carlos and Danielly, my aunt Maria and her son Luis. As for the deceased, they are sorely missed. Links to t...

early morning peace: August 2015

Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Friday, August 28, 2015. Now that the move is over and we are settled in to our new place I can find the time finally rest, write, read, enjoy my morning coffee before anyone else is awake, and share the beauty around me. We are settled in, the kids can't wait to start school [that's a lie, ha! I am already employed at a few local gyms, kids are signed up for soccer, piano, swimming lessons, and my main squeeze is enjoying the shorter commutes to work.

Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Monday, March 25, 2013. Blue Monday: Jewelry from That's So Fab. I think most of us own some type of jewelry, even if you are the "no jewelry" type like me. I spend a lot of time in and out of my gym clothes so jewelry that goes outside of my wedding rings and sports watch just becomes a nuisance. However, I own quite a bit and I do wear it usually evenings and weekends or for special occasions, etc. Now, SHE IS. Here are some tips I found at JewelersRing.

Fit Body Happy Life. Our Life in Guantanamo Bay. Thursday, January 24, 2013. OK these are not the best pictures but I am a little excited to see something different outside.something other than bare trees and gray skies and no sun. UGH! Side note. I am terribly saddened to hear of the people who do not have a warm place to go to on days like these. I've complained quite a bit this week about being cold, mostly because I'm having adjustment issues, not because I don't have a warm place to be. ...Anyway, I...
