Life in slow motion. The Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. In the early hours of this morning, those at the Bahá’í World Centre had the great privilege of gathering to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. The evening before, we had the bounty of going to His house, which is at the foot of the mountain, to visit and offer prayers in the candlelit room where He drew His last breath. Life in slow motion. It’s a Festivus MIRACLE! Kramer, I got your message. I haven’t celebrated Festivus in years! What is your interest? Well, just tell me everything, huh? Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reach for the last one they had - but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way! What happened to the doll? It was destroyed. But out of that, a new holiday was born. A Festivus for the rest of us! That musta been some kind of doll.

Life in slow motion. I’ll do all the paddling, you just hang on. Still here after another week. I think I’m getting used to an extra-quiet life. Early Saturday morning I went to prayers at the Shrines here in Haifa, afterwards spoke with a friend from overseas, and spent most of the afternoon reading.
