On the Victoria, only 18 men survived, because my ship didn’t. Have any fresh food for three months. Our drinking water stunk and started to get slimy. My crew and I had to eat rats! Could you imagine eating a rat? Many of my crew suffered from scurvy . Sadly, 19 men passed away because of my trip. My ship traveled 12,600 miles before reaching land. Nice topics. :D :D :D. Hi, I’m Ferdinand Magellan. I was born in Northern Portugal on April 1480. My parents died when I was only ten years old. As a boy I worked for the queen’s household. I am a Portuguese explorer. I took part of the sea voyage in 1505. I had five ships. The Conception, the San Antonio, the Santiago, the Trinidad, and the Victoria. Wrong date, it was 1519. February 6, 2010 at 1:12 AM.
