Homemade By Lauren: {Family Matters : Things People Say}
http://homemadebylauren.blogspot.com/2012/03/family-matters-things-people-say.html
Monday, March 19, 2012. Family Matters : Things People Say}. I read a post from Naomi on the facenbook page for her blog (which I love) called "Seven Cherubs". As her blog suggests, she has a beautiful family with seven children aka 'the cherubs'. However, she has shared before how she became used to and slightly frustrated at comments about how large her family was. This particular day, she wrote about how a shop assistant said to her "don't you have a tv? Are you going to try for a girl. The question a...

I LOVE COOKIN': Do you know where Xin Jiang is?
http://ilovecookin.blogspot.com/2008/01/do-you-know-where-xin-jiang-is.html
Jan 11, 2008. Do you know where Xin Jiang is? Have you ever tried traditional food from Xin Jiang? Well you're just one of the lucky ones like me who have. You may think, what is all the fuss about Xin Jiang food? Just sounds like any other Chinese food? I call myself fortunate as my Mother-in-law's family comes from that region and spoils us with that kind of traditional food whenever we request it! But for all you "other" people, don't fret. you also can enjoy this food @ Uyghur Restaurant. Simple Stea...

I LOVE COOKIN': Chocolate Cup cakes with White Chocolate icing
http://ilovecookin.blogspot.com/2008/01/chocolate-cup-cakes-with-white.html
Jan 22, 2008. Chocolate Cup cakes with White Chocolate icing. I was craving cup-cakes last night (I'm not pregnant, just like to sympathise with pregnant ladies), so I quickly did up a batch. I cheated and used packet mix. (Oh no.I feel my limited credibility dropping further) But you must give me a chance to explain my reasons for using packet mix. Now, hopefully I can re-gain more of my credibility back by telling you about the fantastic "White. Chocolate Icing" I put on top. Makes 12 cup cake toppings.

cloth and fodder: Nightmare after pancake
http://goatinacoat.blogspot.com/2010/04/nightmare-after-pancake.html
Sunday, 11 April 2010. I had my younger cousins stay overnight on the weekend, so naturally, being the awesome bigger cousin (in age. Obviously not height.). That I am, I made a large stack of delicious pancakes for breakfast. In the process, I accidentally created this hilarious but rather scary looking pancake. We thought the pancake looked very similar to Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas (even moreso after Gib "modelled" the pancake for us). Hope you guys all had a fun weekend too! Produce this pa...

cloth and fodder: Pickled eggy weggies and other things
http://goatinacoat.blogspot.com/2010/03/pickled-eggy-weggies-and-other-things.html
Sunday, 21 March 2010. Pickled eggy weggies and other things. Today I teamed up with some friends for another pickling day. I decided to keep my. List of things to pickle nice and simple, just a pear chutney and some pickled eggs. There was an attempt at preserved rockmelon, which I personally wouldn't recommend! We were/making Kan Tong/doesn't take long/to make your own! Which had some great recipes, but the one called 'British pub pickled eggs' sounded most appealing to me. Hope you had a great weekend!

Hosted a lovely stitching weekend over at Maggie Beers farm. In the Barossa Valley in South Australia at the end of May. A group of six of us went from here – and met up with around another 100 ladies who attended the weekend too! The Designers for the weekend were Leanne Beasley. It was a wonderful weekend getaway! We got some lovely projects to work on from each of the designers and we had two lovely days of stitching away and relaxing with friends. Here are a few photos I took over the weekend. She is...

Never trust a skinny chef, or a sick doctor? | Not just a GP
https://notjustagp.wordpress.com/2013/05/08/never-trust-a-skinny-chef-or-a-sick-doctor
Not just a GP. Why GP is the greatest job in the world. David Chessor, Media Tart. Never trust a skinny chef, or a sick doctor? May 8, 2013. By Dr David Chessor. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about the responsibility of doctors to act as leaders in their communities. Part of this inspired my last post – ‘Do you wish you were Dr Incognito? I’d like to follow on by reflecting on what kind of responsibility doctors have to act as role models for healthcare. Fan, and Maggie Beer. A dentist with awful teeth?
