It feels like I'm getting away with something as the two socks grow in parallel rows. The yarn is dyed using a fancy computer system so stripes and checkerboard patterns automatically form without my having to change colors. I'll see if I can do photos. later.]. So, I wondering. http://maggieonelm.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

She's now 24 years old. Her list includes things meaningful to her: like, "see a dinosaur fossil". Now, I'm a birder. I have a life list already of the birds I've seen. http://maggieonelm.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 17, 2006. Specifically, I've spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Harrisburg at the. State Pastors' Conference. The theme was "It's a Different World: Global Community, Globallization and Our Local Churches.". Much of the content was bracing- ethical questions about our priviledged place in the world were raised by both David Radcliff, Director of the New Community Project, and Rebecca Todd Peters, author and assistant professor at Elon University. We need to be open and humble. He sug...

http://maggieonelm.blogspot.com/2008/11/holidays-and-campaigns-keep-economy.html

Saturday, November 08, 2008. Holidays and Campaigns Keep Economy Going.IMHO. Recently, when someone has noted the huge campaign expenditures this year, I have quipped, "Hey, don't knock campaign spending, it's probably keeping the economy going.". Then I read these two bits in a weekly digest called THE WEEK:. YIPES, do we really spend that much on Halloween! Does that include the people who brought hot dogs and hot chocolate at our Church stand during the Emmaus Halloween Parade? Where your treasure is ...

Maggie on a Mission. Orgs to check out. What am I doing, exactly? Backpacking around the Kenyan Coast. So a friend of mine and I decided to take the train to Mombasa for the weekend. Daddy said that I shouldn’t ride the public busses…he never said anything about motorbikes. Juliette was finding her inner hippy, as for me, well….
