Student Lola Life: What I've been reading
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2012/01/what-ive-been-reading.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Wednesday, 25 January 2012. What I've been reading. The Tenderness of Wolves. I liked the style of writing, interesting subjects, plot in the background, but so atmospheric. The cold, the wet, the isolation, the descriptions of people who would choose to move there (Norwegians and Scots - makes sense, I suppose). In a reversal of the usual routine, I'm giving this one to Lola II to read next. The House of Silk. Sherlock ...

Gave up work in 2007 to become a full time student on a four year degree leading to a Master of Nutrition qualification, which has enabled her to become a Registered Dietitian. Keen on reading, badminton and films that aren't too depressing. Author of the majority of the posts on Student Lola Life: me, me, me, it's all about me. Student Lola Life: Odd jobs
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2012/01/odd-jobs.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Thursday, 12 January 2012. There's very little to report - nothing much has happened at all for a week. I'm moving slowly towards employment with an appointment to return all the paperwork for checking, and references being taken up. Our vouchers arrived so we tried to buy a freezer, but the model we want is unavailable for at least a week. I've learned about our ' Rights to Light. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Student Lola Life: I love Leamington Spa
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2008/06/i-love-leamington-spa.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Wednesday, 4 June 2008. I love Leamington Spa. I really love where I live. I sat down recently and thought I would write a list of all the things I like about Royal Leamington Spa, the town where I live with Mr A. The following list came out just like this, in no particular order. All of it within 20 minutes walk from our house. The Apollo cinema and Royal Spa Centre - two music and film venues within walking distance...

Student Lola Life: "Smoke, foam or bubbles?"
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2009/10/smoke-foam-or-bubbles.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Tuesday, 13 October 2009. Smoke, foam or bubbles? Today I am feeling a little low. I think it is partly because the weekend was so much fun, but I have returned to the reality of a lot of work to do, and many reasons why it is difficult to get it done, not least that our bathroom is being ripped out and replaced today. He had a great time sorting through the little boxes and bags at all sorts of odds and ends. He was...

Student Lola Life: Weekend events
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2012/01/weekend-events.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Monday, 16 January 2012. The weekend brought a visit from mum and dad, which was really enjoyable. On Friday afternoon we drove to the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, which I have visited before. The only other news of note was that my future employer left a message on my mobile phone suggesting that more hours may be available after all. Leaving such a message on a Friday afternoon has been tantalising in the extreme...

Student Lola Life: Dennis the locksmith
http://newlolablog.blogspot.com/2008/06/dennis-locksmith.html
Thoughts and doings that seem appropriate for public viewing on a very random basis. Tuesday, 24 June 2008. Yesterday I got a few more things done. It's all very well having a nice holiday after all the exam slogging, but if I reach next term without having achieved at least a few of the big jobs that need doing around the house, then I'll feel slightly ashamed of myself. That's really great service. Travelling, but not in love. Locksmiths - life's unsung heroes, until we need them! Does he do Canada?
