سالها پیش ، زمانی که دانش آموز بودم ،زیاد شعر امروز می خواندم .یادم هست که چقدر پیگیرانه و با عشق اشعار شاعرانی مثل شاملو و فروغ و سهراب را می خواندم و بسیاری از اشعارشان را از بر بودم. دایی ام فرد کتابخوان و اهل مطالعه ایست. زمانی که علاقه ام به شعر را دید کتابی به من هدیه کرد با نام " راهیان شعر امروز ". این کتاب گلچینی بود از شعرهای امروز شاعران مختلف. به من پیشنهاد خواندن شعرهایی از این کتاب را داد.یکی از این اشعار " ریشه در خاک " از " فریدون مشیری" بود. تو از این دشت خشک تشنه روزی کوچ خواهی کرد.
