Blogging about Evony Online, a browser wargame. October 19, 2010. As your city grows, you will hopefully need more food than your resource fields can produce. So, you need NPCs to farm. The best NPCs are 5s (can be farmed with no loss using ballistas and transports), 10s (highest outcome, but also always with losses) and 8s (more wood and iron than any other NPC). Every day check to see if the sweep has happened – if it has it is time to grab those flats and make useful NPCs. Laquo; Tale of Two Cities.

For those of you who do have ballistas and are going to be farming npcs here are some numbers for all levels of npcs and the safe tech ratios for 5s. Arch 6 or above. Level Ones 20 bals. Level Two 40 bals. Level Threes 130-170 Bals. Arch 7 or higher is required for 4s. Level Fours 240-280 Bals. Level 5 NPC safe tech levels. Arch 8 Hbr 5/6. Arch 9 Hbr 8/9. Arch 10 Any hbr. Level fives 380-420 Bals with an attack hero of 80.
