By using probes to measure electrical resistance in the ground, MAHG's resistivity meter can work out whether certain areas contain solid ground, looser ground, stone, or even water-logged deposits. From this, the geophysics team can make assumptions about wall lines, ditches, and other features; all of which can be shown up by resistivity without having to spend time digging or disturbing the archaeology itself. The following sites have related geophysics results currently online.

Near the Old Rodney, Little Baddow, Essex, United Kingdom. Investigating a mysterious mound in the centre of a long untouched landscape of woodland and meadow, the question is whether the mound is the ancient warren after which the wood is named? Or is it a much older landmark, more in date with the flints and pre-historic pottery found around it? Carrington Farm, North Road, Tollesbury, Essex, United Kingdom. A paradoxical muddle of pre-historic and romano-british ditches and post holes, alongside a barrow with later cremations. Tollesbury is an unusual site that must have been on the outskirts of the yet undiscovered Roman settlement presumably now below Tollesbury itself.
