We are planning another trip spending our children's inheritance. This time to the East Coast, as far as Nfld. We are leaving on the 29th of August and will be gone approximately one month. D.V. Hopefully with less motorhome breakdowns and just as much fun. We will be travelling with my sisters Jennie, Immy and brother-in-law Peter. This entire blog will be printed into a hard cover book. East Coast Trip 2009. Friday, September 25, 2009. Sept 18, 2009 Day 21. Heavy rains overnight, but sunny again in the daytime. We started our 2 day trek to Cape Breton driving the famous the Cabot Trail. Our tour book said that the trail is 300 k long, but it takes 8 hours. The roads are very bumpy and curved. A lot of very steep hills. Very tiring for the drivers. Driving behind us. This picture was taken through the window at a hairpin turn. Very, very deep valley. Our next scenic stop was "Green Cove".

Join us in our motor home every morning for coffee and koek. Our first stop this morning was "Norris Point". East Coast Trip 2009. Saturday, September 19, 2009. Sept 15, 2009 Day 18. Today, we started our 2 day trek back to Port Aux Basque's. Ferry Again, we had full sun the whole day. At 8:30 we left the Pippy's Park. Thanks for the recommendation Evelyn. On our route back, we detoured through the little town of Cupids, the pantry cupboard door broke. While Marcel was driving, I did a bungee. Lovely town of "Cupid". Here Jennie found another walking trail. This one was almost 2 hrs. long. Marcel, Peter and Immy.

We had another gorgeous sunny, clear day, and we drove along the coastline. This little lighthouse was in Codroy. It was very, very cold and windy along the coast. But beautiful.
