Thursday, October 14, 2010. Dome assemble part 1. (11/10/2010). Finally, i can online. time to update my blog. Now, its the real assemble. last monday, we're asked to gather at the place that we practiced our merdeka parade. Here's the pictures i've taken. Arrange the strut according to group. Making the mark with blue spray. Waiting for the next instruction. We're also asked to re-do all the strut that are no longer strong to hold the structure. mine too, it cracked. @. All this while, i was not a creative person - as i always always think that way. from the day i day i set my foot on RUS 101 studio, everything changed. now i know that, everyone can be creative. i learned how to draw, how to colour, and how to build. As 2012 getting nearer, Mr wan asked we to design our own monument. we are also been assigned to go for a site visit at the Jewish Cemetery situated at Jalan Zainal Abidin. interesting. So we went there right after we have out lunch after class. its a very small and old cemetery. it was taken care by an indian family. according to them, the families do come back once while to visit their ancestor's grave. there are no longer any Jewish here in Penang. Walking to the cemetery.

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Dome assemble part 4 (23/10/2010). Went to the site at around 10am to continue building the scafford. however, there's no more rope available for us. what we get was new final assignment of the semester. 2 assignments need to be done. We come back in the afternoon, around 2.30pm to build our scafford, but bad news, the older scafford is loose again. so we need to re-tie it back. we we dipped the new ropes in the water for 1 and a half hour or more. Give a helping to shu hui.

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Dome assemble part 5 (24/10/2010) finale. Excited. today is dome assemble day. cant wait to see what happen. Wake up early in the morning and reached the site at 9.00am. but then. No1 is around. @. So we went to the studio to see what we can help. discovered this big tensegrity. Helped to arrange the chair to the back. Then went back to the site and start to work. argh! Holding the bamboo that support the dome. This also patah alrdy. The is the screws. Pasting the stick dome.

Monday, October 25, 2010. The most important event of the whole 1st semester. i wake up early and went to help out at the studio - lots of things to be done. Drawn by Jonathan. he's really great. Tying the mask us. the RUS 101 students were late in giving us their masks. so we only manage to complete everything in the morning. This is how it looks like. Using sarong to cover the tables.
