Sunday, 11 December 2011. Devon Bath in August. We took a long weekend to go south, first stop was surfing at Woolacombe in Devon (a very popular beach). We met Alexis and Duston at Stonehenge. We were disappointed at the £14 entry fee (especially when you can see it from the road), but accidently entered for free with their tourbus-woohoo! And the sun came out! It was pretty good but apparently other similar sites nearby are better. But you have to do these things once. Climbing on Stanage in July.

Monday, 6 February 2012. As with most of people, December was consumed by preparations for Christmas. Maia also was ill for a while and actually had to take time off work (although in the end it was a welcome break). Christmas was spent in Wales with Twiggy and Peter. It was quiet around the house without Inga and Pete, although in the end Huw and Maia decided they kinda liked the attention of being the 'only children' ;). So it was just us in silly hats to go all the way around! November- still in 2011;).

Monday, 23 May 2011. May is shaping up to be a great month. It started with Huw handing in his dissertation. There were some late nights involved but he coped very well and is reasonably happy with the finished product. The fine weather continued and Maia got some more quality time in the Peaks while Huw dug straight into revising for exams (last ones ever! We finally have got some rain, after an unusually dry spring, so the garden is not looking so desperate. Unfortunately a freak frost did in some ...

Monday, 6 February 2012. Maia got a decent horde including tomatoes, loads of chilis, potatoes, chard, but some failures too as the soil still needs some work and she always struggles with brassicas and pests! And a walk to Kinder Downfall in Snake's Pass. We brought the climbing gear in case, but it was very green and wet! In the winter the waterfall freezes and is used for ice climbing.
