My Journey as a Kiva Fellow. If you read my blog before I left for Kenya, this section would have been all about K-MET, the microfinance institution where I was originally placed. For a variety of reasons, my placement at K-MET has been pushed back until January, and instead I am living in Nairobi where I am thrilled to be working with another one of Kiva’s partner microfinance institutions, KADET. Many of my borrowers are involved in the creation of bags, clothing, and other handicrafts; and although this was fun, I’d rather patronize them directly.
