Monday, March 16, 2009. Tooth #7 has arrived. lower left side, next to the middle tooth. Erica and I attended the first “real” parent-teacher conference at her school/daycare today. I have to say that I was very impressed with the comprehensive list of skills that they test the kids on. The categories included: gross motor, fine motor, pre-writing, cognitive, language, self-help, and personal/social. Weaving string randomly through holes in sewing board (36-41 months). Stringing 1/2" beads (42-47 months).

Sunday, April 12, 2009. Since we were just in fargo recently, we decided to stay in minneapolis over the easter weekend. On saturday, maia went to the park for an easter celebration which included an egg hunt. on sunday, we went over to our neighbor's house (amy and steve) for a potluck brunch with another family (lisa and xan). afterwards, the kids did a big easter egg hunt at lisa and xan's house and then the kids played outside since it was so nice out.no snow like last year! Maia is growing everyday.

Saturday, April 11, 2009. Bye-bye mullet: michael's 1st haircut! Today michael got his first haircut! He doesn't have much hair but he needed to get his little mullet cut off before his 1st birthday. Here you can see the long hair behind his ears (click to enlarge). michael did not enjoy the stylist touching his hair and tried to bat away her initial efforts.
