Avocado & Cider Donuts: March 2007
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Tuesday, March 27, 2007. This post is horribly outdated since I've been meaning to post photos into it forever. SORRRRY! Marc visited, particularly because he got in Berkeley! How would not having them change the political landscape? I do think we need the organizers and artists in small towns and cities and suburbs; but I also think places like the Bay Area, beyond all of the jokes and writing off of things ("Hybrid Cars? I played with the color of this a little, but...

Avocado & Cider Donuts: September 2006
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Thursday, September 28, 2006. La bicicleta de sino. Or is it del sino? I'm trying to work on my Spanish skills, but not trying very hard now.). Today I stopped by Maile's office and got the keys to our new apartment! In other news, I bought a bike tonight! I'm not sure how it happened, but I think it was a combination of being really tired and out of it, and of having used the exit I don't usually use to get out of BART.). Tuesday, September 26, 2006. Me to take pictu...

Avocado & Cider Donuts: On Israel, America, and AIPAC
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007/03/on-israel-america-and-aipac.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Friday, March 23, 2007. On Israel, America, and AIPAC. I wanted to share this interesting article. With everyone. It's by George Soros, and appeared in the NY Review of Books, "On Israel, America, and AIPAC." It's exciting to see such a prominent (ie. rich) Jewish figure challenging Israel, let alone AIPAC. Avocado & Cider Donuts: December 2006
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Sunday, December 31, 2006. I've been terrible at writing my blog! According to my blog it's been about a month and a half since I've written anything! I do ever so hope you'll take me back! It's just that I keep meaning to write it all out, and I got a job, which shouldn't have stopped me (I'm going to start writing at work, I am). So I think that maybe I need to just start over, admit a little defeat, and do better next time. So here goes. It was really great to get ...

Avocado & Cider Donuts: A trite post about the Iraq War / Occupation
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007/03/trite-post-about-iraq-war-occupation.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Thursday, March 22, 2007. A trite post about the Iraq War / Occupation. This post was supposed to happen on Tuesday, but our internet's been down and I haven't done it at work.). At the event there was this woman who read seven pages of names of American soldiers who had been killed in the past four years (there were 70 pages total). That was about 10% of the 3200 US Soldiers killed. Unfortunately, I'm really struggling to figure out what that is. My photos on FlickR.

Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Anna sent me this link. About a queer response to Israeli "Independence" day. Avocado & Cider Donuts: Up In the Airplane
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007/04/up-in-airplane.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Friday, April 27, 2007. Up In the Airplane. The other thing that I forgot to mention is that, though my airplane ride was so unbearably long, the clouds were amazing beautiful and had a much more varied texture and depth than I imagined them to have. I understood why pulled-apart cotton balls were simultaneously such an accurate and totally underwhelming approximation of clouds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Avocado and Cider Donuts. Avocado & Cider Donuts: bound and broken on the floor
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007/04/bound-and-broken-on-floor.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Monday, April 16, 2007. Bound and broken on the floor. I'm a little bit obsessed with Ugly Betty at the moment. It's cute and endearing and problematic but also so good. How I know that I'm obsessed:. I purchased an episode on iTunes last night, because I couldn't watch the next one for free on the Internet and I HAD to watch it. I had a lot of feelings after watching Betty and Henry look longingly at each other. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My photos on FlickR.

Avocado & Cider Donuts: When Mommy Comes to Town
http://avocadoandciderdonuts.blogspot.com/2007/04/when-mommy-comes-to-town.html
Harris's adventures in the Bay Area! Friday, April 13, 2007. When Mommy Comes to Town. My mom visited me a couple of weeks ago, which was surprisingly not bad and even at times enjoyable (I hate to sound so skeptical, but having been freaking out beforehand, I think this speaks highly of the experience). We managed to keep busy doing a lot of touristy things, and despite her sleeping in my room (while I slept in Kath's), we didn't fight too much. Brunched in the Castro. Toured the Mision Dolores. Walked ...
