Bill and Margot Zell met at summer Camp in Ontario Canada where they had the privilege of doing 4-6 week canoe trips in the Canadian Sheild. They never recovered. Bill, a computer science geek bounced around a few mega corporations before ditching it all to become a NOLS instructor. He has taught Whitewater canoeing on various rivers around the US. In 1992, he started a rafting company, Montana Whitewater. They have done two canoeing expeditions in Mongolia. They're also pretty funny!
