Wednesday, March 19, 2008. My name is Dr. Mike Schrad and I would like to share with you an amazing and humbling experience I had. In February 2007, as I was completing my studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa, I had an opportunity to take a clinic abroad trip to Manaus, Brazil - a city located on the Rio Negro in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Your body gets used to when you go to bed and when you get up, and this helps you to feel more rested. When you disrupt this cycle it is difficult to fall asleep and/or wake up. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day to avoid this. 2-Put yourself at ease before bed. 3-Get your daily exercise. 4-Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol.
